How do I get involved in the racing industry?

i know many people who have started in the SCCA (sports car club of america). what u do is join the club fine out local races and having fun. when you do that you meet people that know connections and it just sort of happens. but most people start in karts at 9 or 10. thats how you get into f1 or nascar. it's like a life of training. especially f1 here is SCCA website: http://www.scca.com/home.aspx
