Motorcycle Accident - how much can you expect in settlement?

my bestfriend met a guy about a year ago, shortly after they met he got in a motorcycle accident, as a bystander. He was at a Red Light when two cars collided in intersection and 1 car skidded toward him, he walked away with bumps and bruises. Long story short his bike got "totaled" out by Insurance company and he is in rehab with "back problems" but honestly he looks fine to me. Here is my problem with him he keeps sayign he is going to get a million dollar settlement, like I give a damn and he has told me so many times and brings it up to everyone, So now I am thinking something fishy is going on, like he is trying to "trick" my best friend into marrying him....and sure enough he finally asked the question to her. Thank god she told him no, but they are still dating. And I think he is still pressuring her and keeps bringing up how he will be real rich soon. (what a this guy is) Anyways, My question is this.....I know there is a million factors but honsetly how much money can he expect to make? He was only out of work for about 1 month. He does mild warehouse work where he makes less then 20 bucks an hour, and has been going to rehab for the last year once a week. I talked to another contact who was in similar situation and they said they barley got medical bills paid so why does he think he will make so much money....i s he lying?
